The GFLAGFR short-circuiting and earthing device is designed for short-circuiting 5 or 6-conductor (1 neutral, 3 phases, 1 or 2 public lighting) bare LV flagged overhead networks. It is operated from the ground using an insulating telescopic pole. It is installed immediately after the absence-of-voltage check with the PICRABT device (see corresponding data sheet), The GFLAGFR device consists of 2 conductive aluminum poles, on which a U-section is mounted, equipped with 4 clamps. The first pole short-circuits the neutral conductor and the 3 phases, while the second short-circuits the street lighting, connecting to the phase conductors previously short-circuited to the neutral conductor. This equipment can be earthed using the optional earth lead. These two conductive poles are mounted on the kit’s specific Pentapole insulating pole (Fameca patent), on a Tulipe end cap.
