The Mitutoyo outside micrometer with mechanical digit counter features a ratchet-stop mechanism which provides uniform pressure on a workpiece for precise, repeatable measurements. The frame has a satin chrome finish for durability, and measurements on the thimble and conversions on the frame are laser etched for easier reading. A Vernier scale with slanted barrel markings to help reduce parallax errors provides highly accurate outside diameter measurements.
