Compressed air quarry cushions are essential when it comes to extracting block of marble, granite or any other stone. A number of inflatable cushions are used simultaneously to push the stone blocks apart. Their thinness when deflated means that they can be inserted easily into cut channels. They are kept at a set level using anchor cables. Filled with air using a compressor, inflatable quarry cushions evenly move the rock apart. Then the cushions can be stacked or moved until the blocks of stone tip over.
