Jaundice can present a severe issue in the newborn child, i.e. one month’s birth, as elevated levels of bilirubin can permanently harm the brain. Indirect bilirubin, which is not water-soluble, can be decomposed into a harmless metabolic that is water-soluble, does not cross the blood-brain barrier, and is quickly excreted in bile and urine and therefore does not accumulate. CFL Phototherapy:
- The CFL Phototherapy Unit occupies very little bedside room to make observation easier.
- The system is portable, installed on 4 castors i.e. 2 brake and 2 brake-free.
- At the base, the Chokes are fitted to reduce the heat generation in the tube unit, thus providing the unit with additional protection.
CFL Module:
- The lamp system is produced of plastic lightweight, has 4nos of blue light tubes with greater light intensity in the therapeutic range and 2 nos of white light tubes.
- CFL pipes last five times longer than normal tube lights, requiring replacement less frequently. For better reflection, the device is equipped with unique mirror-coated reflectors.
Compatibility:
- By the system supplied in the pillar, the pipe unit can be changed up / down. Protection against the unit’s free fall is given by adding a large screw at the back, making it suitable to fit over an incubator or cot, etc.
Heat Dissipation:
- For efficient heat dissipation with concealed wiring within the unit, a fan is provided at the top cover.
Optional accessories:
- I.V. Standing (adjustable)
- Digital hour meter with double hour display, i.e. one for complete use of pipes and another for individual use of the reset unit for babies
