MANGACHOC® or FAM® L spherical plain bearings are made of manganese steel. They are mainly used for their high resistance to abrasion and high contact pressure in shock working conditions, with no maintenance. The work hardening properities of manganese enable a very long life of the bearing. MATING SHAFT: For optimal performances of the joint and when assembly enables sliding between pin and bearing , the surface roughness of the pin should be inferior to Ra 0,8 μm and the hardness should be superior to 56 HRc.
