Chipping instead of grinding with LMT Onsrud HPCR Generally, all duroplastic fibre-reinforced resins (GFRP, CFRP) may be machined with conventional diamond pattern “burrs”. Being initially designed for hand routers, used e. g. in boat construction or prototyping, the use of those tools on robots or NC machines is strongly increasing. With its High Performance Composite Router Series HPCR 66-900, LMT Onsrud introduces a new generation of burrs with outstanding performance. While conventional routers with diamond pattern geometry rather grind than cut through the workpiece material, the HPCR is able to create real chips due to its positive rake angle and deep flutes.
