Description

Magnaflux ZP-4D is a noncombustible dry powder developer for form A penetrant testing that is designed for highly sensitive fluorescent penetrant processes and will replace ZP-4B. Use ZP-4D on oven dried parts following the use of penetrants to form a thin film on parts to increase the visibility of ultra-fine flaws and discontinuities.

ZP-4D is on the QPL SAE AMS 2644 Qualified Product List and has been approved by Pratt & Whitney for use in production. The new formulation of ZP-4D eliminates combustible hazards to meet the demands of EHS. Additionally, ZP-4D has less background fluorescence than ZP-4B which can help speed up the inspection process when identifying very fine discontinuities.

Transitioning to ZP-4D
