The MDL-2-6-FP-S Motorized Variable Optical Delay Line provides precision optical path delays 0 to 530 ps on a single mode fiber for wavelength range 1260 – 1650 nm. Driven by a DC motor with an integrated encoder, the motorized variable optical delay line offers a high delay resolution of 1 fs. This motorized optical delay lines employs a compact and rugged package design with FC/PC connectors, making the device ideal for network equipment and test instrument integration. The delay lines can also be used in laboratories for precision optical path length control or timing alignment. The major applications include time division multiplexing (TDM), pulse alignment, optical spectrum analysis, and interferometry.
