Product Description The Shandon AS620 Cryostat features an open top design which helps minimizes temperature gain during prolonged usage. The AS620 Cyrostrat features a convenient flat area on top of the instrument this is a clever feature to help optimize your laboratory work area. The front wheels are retractable to help increase stability. In the interest of security, a key lock may be used to immobilize the control panel. The Shandon AS620 cryostat also features a convenient flywheel with three positions deadlock lever. The AS620 fitted mircotome is accurate yet operation light enough to deliver a balanced feel over the whole range of the advance mechanism. The knife holder knife holder accepts both knives and disposable blade holders while the advance mechanism permits 0 to 30 micron selection in 1-micron steps. The microtome is situated outside the cold working environment and the refrigeration system utilizes efficient fast-cooling technology as well as a frost-free cryochamber. The AS620 can delivery a cooling temperature of -35 C (at 20 C ambient) and features a rapid defrost function.
