The GW Instek ASR-2100R is a programmable AC/DC lab power supply from the ASR-2000 series.
The ASR-2000 series power supplies are a power source for system integration or desktop applications. The power supply is very extensive and has a wide range of functionalities to test for example the operation of DUT’s (Device Under Test). They provide rated power output for both AC and DC at various output modes that can be categorized into 3 functions: generate arbitrary waveforms, amplify an external signal and synchronize its signal with an external signal. Each of these functions can be performed with an AC, DC and an AC+DC signal to generate a total of 9 output modes.
The ASR-2000 units come with special functions such as Remote Sensing, T Ipeak hold, Power ON output and preset settings. This ensures that the lab power supply meets all the requirements of the high-end sector and belongs to the top of the line power supplies.
Furthermore, the lab power supply has various measuring possibilities. For example, the ASR-2000 series units can measure voltages, currents, powers, frequencies and load factors. What is even more striking about this power supply is that it can measure up to the 40th harmonic voltage and current. These functions come in handy when measuring negative properties of a connected DUT.
All in all, the ASR-2000 power supplies are very comprehensive lab power supplies for professional use.
Model overview
The 2050 is the base model, whereas the 2100 is the more powerful version. The R models lack the socket on the front panel in favour of having 3U half-width rack dimensions, compatible with ATS assembly.
