PUMPS / PROCESS PUMPS Our GS gear wheel pumps is suitable for the production of shortening and plasticized fats. The gear wheel pump is for production at low pressures such as for shortening and plasticized fats. The pumps are built to fit capacities ranging from 185 — 6,600 Gal/hour (700 — 25,000 l/hour) and the capacities are easily adjusted by an optional frequency converter. The pump casing is made of cast iron and the pinion wheel is in nitrates steel and the inner gear wheel is of cast iron. It is possible to add a nitrogen injection unit to the gear wheel pump for aeration of the shortening. The gear wheel pump can be equipped with a heating jacket, heated strainer and heated product pipes.
