This third generation scanning densitometer allows for the conversion of transparent and opaque electrophoretic samples into digital images for further densitometric analysis. Acquisition of stains including silver and Coomassie blue types can be conveniently carried out with this system. Depending on user preference, images produced by the Bio-Rad GS 700 can be exported to other software packages for further analysis. The base version of Bio-Rads Quantity One software comes with the system upon purchase.
