There are several tip shapes available. Each tip shape is described below
. Round
The 0.8 mm round soldering tip is the tip that comes standard with Aoyue soldering stations. This tip is already small enough for fine SMD work. The sharper tips with a radius of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.5 mm are better suited for the finest work. Keep in mind that tiped tips do not pass on the heat of the soldering iron as well as thick tips.
