The 71430 Manual Shutter is a low cost and easy to use device for reliably checking radiometric zero. The easily accessible lever moves a slide in and out of the optical path. The slide is shaped as a crescent moon, so that as it closes down the output beam shape remains circular. It has the same aperturing effect as an iris would.
