Description
The Waygate Technologies Krautkramer 15° Crank/90° Tip Delrin Handle Eddy Current Pencil Probes (Absolute), Baker Hughes business products (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), are used to inspect for surface-breaking defects. This probe comes in frequency options of 200kHz, 500kHz, 2MHz, and 6MHz. The 15° Crank/90° Tip Delrin Handle has a common length of 114 mm (4.5 inches) that allows for the best angle during inspections and are easy to use in tight quarters. This shielded surface inspection probe also offers a variety of tip diameters, such as 2.34 mm, 3.30 mm, and 4.45 mm. Inside tip length for this probe is 6.4 mm (.25′), but inside tip lengths from 5mm (0.19”) to 25mm (0.98”) are available on all probes. Probes have Microdot connectors.
Combine with an impedence plane instrument in order to operate this probe over an extended range. The normal accepted operating range is 1/3 of the Center Frequency to 3x Center Frequency. The 15° Crank/90° Tip Delrin probe identified with Nonferrous (NFe) or Ferrous/Nonferrous (Fe/NFe) may be used on any suitable conductive material when used in conjunction with an Impedance plane instrument.
Delrin probes are color-coded so as to indicate their center frequency as follows:
Red = 200kHz
Yellow = 500kHz
Blue = 2MHz
Green = 6MHz
