A superior alternative to rubber or reinforced plastic hoses. These durable, thin walled, flexible stainless steel hoses do not alter or crack like rubber or plastic hoses and do not collapse under vacuum, have less connection parts and therefore introduce less possible leaks in a vacuum system. NW/KF flexible metal hoses are made from 304 stainless steel and may be cleaned with solvents. Dry and clean SS is most suitable for high vacuua.
These stainless steel vacuum flexible hoses/bellows are designed to curve but not to expand or contract in length. The 25mm bellow may be rolled up to a minimum 300mm diameter roll. Excessive flexing may lead to metal fatigue. These bellows are excellent for connecting low and high vacuum pumps to each other or to working chambers.
The space within the bellows (or vacuum hose) adds to the pumped space, but larger diameter bellows/ tubes transmit vacuua better. Keep vacuum connections as short as practicable.
