It offers five Gigabit Ethernet ports compliant with 802.3 (10BASE-T), 802.3u (100BASE-TX) and 802.3ab (1000BASE-T). Four of its ports support 802.3at PoE+ PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) capability and can deliver up to 25.5W to PoE PD on each port. The feature of dual power mode is what makes EDX-104 unique. It can operate as a PoE+ PD thus you can simply power it using a Ethernet cable from a PSE. Or, when PSE is not available, you can supply 24/48 VDC to make it work. The combination of PSE and PD minimizes the effort of installation and maintenance as only Ethernet cables are needs to connect everything. EDX-104 series is designed with EMS level 3 protection.
