Cylindrical spring mechanical seal used in refinery processing and petrochemical industry are differently designed depending on rotation direction. According to DIN 24960 standards are available in different materials. Standard contact surface materials are stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316 with chromium oxide or NiCr welding, tungsten carbide TC, silicon carbide SiC, Antimony impregnated carbographite, Resin impregnated carbographite. Elastomer material includes EPDM, NBR, SILICON and FPM/VITON. Operational parameters range is 25-160mm diameter, 10 Bar Pressure, -50 to 250°C Temperature and speed of 10m/s. Various component are stationary, elastomer stationary, elastomer rotary, rotary and stationement ring, spring and blocking shaft screw. Different materials combination are graphite[G]/silicon[S]/tungsten carbide[T], Nbr[N]/Epdm[E]/Viton[V]/ Silicon[S], Stainless Steel 304/Stainless Steel 316.
