Small Form Ashing Muffle Furnaces are a light-weight, compact solution for laboratories where space is limited. These universal furnaces are designed for ashing and burn-off processes up to 1100°C. These furnaces are constructed of powder-coated steel exteriors with a one-piece high thermal efficiency vacuum formed ceramic fibre chamber, with heating elements embedded within four sides. The furnaces feature a fan-assisted chimney mounted to the rear of the unit to extract smoke and humidity during processing. The fan allows for continuous air exchange within the chamber at the rate of 0.8 cbm per hour at 600ºC and 0.6 cbm per hour at 1100ºC.
All models feature a lift up safety door with safety cut-off when the door is opened during operation, and a ceramic bottom plate. Microprocessor temperature control provides good stability and uniformity, and the low thermal mass construction ensures fast heating times and low power consumption.
Additional options — To suit requirements the addition of a process observation window, additional hearth plates, buzzer, data recorder and RS232/RS-485/USB interface are also available.
