16-position Automated Labware Positioner (ALP) for the placing of 16 standard 96- and/or 384-well clamping and the positioning of 1,536-well plates for access by the Biomek FXp 384-Channel Pipettors. The plates are clamped by a solenoid for reliable pipetting operations. The clamp is relaxed when not in use, reducing potential heat build-up. Multiple positive positioning ALPs may be integrated onto the Biomek FXp work area as needed.
