This is made possible by a revolution in coating technology: LMT TERAspeed is the world‘s first cubic AlTiN coating with an aluminum content above 90 %, which is deposited via a CVD process. TERAspeed combines the key advantages of PVD and CVD coating systems: The new coating is tough and thermally more stable than a PVD AlTiN coating and has the high adhesion known from the CVD process.
