Nel cath are straight tube-like catheters with one hole on the side of the tip and a connector on the other end for drainage that are used in hospitals. They are generally rigid or stiff to aid insertion into the urethra. Nelaton catheter is suitable for one time use and should be used only for intermittent catheterization.
