The number refers to the knife length e.g. US185C is for sharpening a knife measuring between 185 and 220mm with «C» profile. «C» profile means a single bevel along the entire cutting edge (most knives). «D» profile refers to knives that have two different bevels along the edge. US170C is for sharpening a knife measuring less than 170mm with a «C» profile. US300C is for sharpening a knife measuring between 250 and 300mm with «C» profile.
UD082 is for sharpening a tungsten carbide knife measuring 160mm, and UD083 is for sharpening a tungsten carbide knife measuring 170mm.
The non-tungsten carbide knives include cryostat knives.
