This Shandon stainer features load-on-demand multiple baskets and programs, power outage backup and built in fume control to make staining easier, faster and safer. The Varistain Gemini carries powerful, easy-to-use software. With the touch of a single button, the software schedules runs, allocates reagents, optimizes the reagent plan and calculates the most efficient route for each protocol. The Varistain slide stainer also graphically displays the progress of each basket along with a text summary on the units VGA monitor. Along with suggested staining protocols, the Gemini has memory for 50 staining procedures. Featuring auto-allocation capability, the Shandon Gemini slide stainer optimizes reagents and efficiently uses available staining stations by calculating the quickest throughput path with the fewest moves for each basket. Additionally, its Urgent Start feature gives the user the opportunity to prioritize urgent baskets ahead of those already in process. Designed with user-friendly control panels, two loading doors and two unloading doors, the Shandon Varistain Gemini stainer combines ergonomic design with enhanced operator safety. Together with six water stations and 26 reagent stations, the slide stainer has fume control features and a battery back-up of 40 minutes power in case of power failure.
