This invention is a mould for embedding mammalian cells in monolayer culture in order to prepare for light or electron microscopy sectioning. Traditional BEEM® capsules are no longer required thanks to tissue culture monolayer embedding moulds.
The improved moulds can be used to transfer the majority of cells from the entire surface of a cover slip, preventing large amounts of cellular data from being lost at random. Furthermore, other issues such as surface blemishes caused by air entrapment related with BEEM® capsules are avoided.
