With a full 1 mL capacity and a tip orifice diameter twice as large as standard tips, the Biomek P1000 pre-sterile wide bore tips are made for the Span-8 automated attachment. The barrier on these tips reduces the possibility of sample cross-contamination from aerosols. The P1000s are useful in several applications: library construction for next generation sequencing sample prep with a viscous bead mixture, stem cell research to reduce the inadvertent cell lysis of large cell-aggregates of embryoid bodies, nucleic acid preparation to minimize DNA shearing, cellular applications where pipetting of viscous solutions, such as glycerol solution, is commonly used, bio-fuels/bio-energy research where cellulose slurries may clog standard tips, and crop research/seed development where samples may contain large particulates. Tips are manufactured to the highest standards and guaranteed to be free of DNA, DNase/RNase, PCR inhibition, pyrogen/endotoxin and trace metals. Case of 5 racks.
