P1000 non-sterile wide bore tips are designed for the Biomek NX, NXp, FX and FXp automation systems with a Span-8 pod. With a full 1 mL capacity and a tip diameter twice as large as standard, the wide bore tips are useful for a variety of applications: library construction for next generation sequencing sample prep where the bead mixture is viscous, stem cell research to reduce the inadvertent cell lysis of large cell-aggregates of embryoid bodies, nucleic acid preparation to minimize DNA shearing, cellular applications where pipetting of viscous solutions such as glycerol solution is commonly used, bio-fuels/bio-energy research where cellulose slurries may clog standard tips, and crop research/seed development where samples may contain large particulates. Tips are manufactured to ensure straight, leak-proof products and guaranteed to be free of DNA, DNase/RNase, PCR inhibition, pyrogen/endotoxin and trace metals. Case of 5 racks.
