The 5248 Neutral Density (ND) Filter Set contains the same filters that we use in our ND-filter wheels. Made with Inconel® metallic coatings on glass substrates, these ND filters provide spectrally uniform attenuation over the wavelength range from 0.4 to 2.0 &mu,m. The reflective nature of the coatings helps reduce thermal effects when these filters are used with moderate-power lasers. The Model 5248 kit allows finer control of your laser power, with six filters of optical density ~0 to 0.5 in steps of 0.1. Filters included in this set are listed below.
