General information
This kit contains the necessary equipment for two teams to carry out a nutritional anthropometric survey of children less than 5 years of age.
It also provides the necessary weighing and measuring equipment for inpatient and outpatient nutrition programs.
Extra height boards and Salter scales can be ordered, according to the number of teams carrying out the nutritional survey.
The Salter type scales must be checked against a known weight of more than 5 kg every day during a survey and regularly in a nutritional centre. The weight can be made locally with a stone or a container filled with water.
The equipment in the kit (height boards and scales) is not adapted for anthropometric measurements of adults or adolescents.
