The UT71D is a multimeter with a particularly high price/quality ratio. The model offers a 40,000 count display and a precision up to 0.05% for DC voltages.
The multimeter offers True RMS and can take two measurements per second at the 40,000 count resolution. In addition, the meter has a memory for 10000 samples, which can be retrieved later.
A useful feature of this multimeter is the Bar Graph, which is updated 10 times per second, and clearly shows how a measured value changes during the measurement. This graph has 40 segments, so it only shows a rough picture.
In addition to the 40,000 count main display, the UT71D also has two secondary displays of 4,000 counts. These can display other useful information at the same time as the main display. For example, during AC voltage measurement the frequency is displayed.
The UT71D comes with a USB cable, with which the multimeter can be connected to a computer. With the included software, the multimeter can be used for multiple applications. Data can be logged, or Pass/Fail evaluation can be done.
The UT71D has a built-in deep memory of up to 10,000 measurements that can later be read via USB on the (Windows) PC. The multimeter can (also) log independently without a PC. The interval is adjustable from 0 to 255 seconds.
