Product Description The Leica Leitz 1512 microtome is an instrument with a high cutting precision for the effective preparation of paraffin-embedded specimens in histology and pathology . The Leitz 1512 microtome was designed with all the controls placed on the front of the microtome, allowing rapid knife adjustment. This design also guarantees convenient operation during the setting of section thicknesses from 1 to 25 um, and during the controlled sectioning of the object. Along with its quick and safe knife adjustment, the Leitz 1512 is equipped with a knife block featuring a double-sided holder which can be moved by hand along its 36 mm guide track and clamped in position. This rapid adjustment can be locked or unlocked by a lever, which obviates the time-consuming forward or backward alignment of the object holder through the spindle. The alignment of the knife with the specimen using the coarse adjustment is required only for the initial trimming of the object.
