LTLC1223-R - Leimac IHM-150/142R-V - Backlight, 150 x 142mm, Narrow Angle, Red

The IHM-150/142R-V red LED panel light has a 150 x 142 mm illuminated area. It is typically used as a backlight.

The IHM-V panel lights are typically mounted behind an object, enabling high-contrast analysis of the resulting silhouette. This is useful for edge detection, feature presence/absence, part orientation, hole detection and feature measurement.

This LED backlight is different from more common backlights because of the narrower light-angle distribution. This produces sharper edges, especially when objects have rounded features that may otherwise reflect light toward the camera. It is therefore recommended for measurement systems.

These lights are built using uniform, high-brightness chip-type LEDs. The cooling fins help to dissipate heat, ensuring a long life.

We recommend combining this light with a Leimac light controller for precise intensity adjustment. Without an intensity controller, it can be easy to overwhelm the camera image sensor. This is especially true of backlights. Or, if even greater light intensity is needed, this light can be paired with an overdrive controller.
