This is a tamper-proof multipurpose container that may be used for shipping, staining, or keeping microscope slides.
It can hold up to four standard 25x75mm slides vertically and is made of exceptionally robust and opaque transparent polypropylene with a high density polyethylene leakproof tamper evident screw cap. The LockMailer may also be used without the tamper evident function by not using the lock tab.
Inside chambers are slotted to keep slides safely separated. Capinsert (EMS61805-series) can be placed on top of the closure for colour labelling. This LockMailer may be used as a tiny staining vessel. With a liquid capacity of only 14ml, this device is intended for optimum stability on a bench top. Because the normal volume of one slide is 2 ml, you only need 6 ml of staining solution to stain four slides in this vessel.
