The SLZC model is manufactured by Roehm, and is a steady rest that has a self-centering function. The unit is available in variants that are operated either with the use of air or with the use of oil. The model is ideal for use in a wide variety of operations such as efficiently rotating slender shafts. Variants that are equipped with chip protectors have a limited range. The came and level system of the SLZC model has been enhanced and enables the three rollers executing the centering and supporting operation to be applied to the workpiece almost symmetrically with a spacing of 3 x 120°. The unit has a compact design, and has a high repeating accuracy.
