The 6032 Spectral Calibration Lamp produces narrow, intense lines from the excitation of Neon gas. This lamp operates at 6 to 14 mA and is rated for 250 hours of life. It is used for wavelength calibration of spectroscopic instruments such as monochromators, spectrographs, and spectral radiometers. We call this a pencil lamp because of its size and shape. It is made of double bore quartz tubing with two electrodes at one end sealed into a phenolic handle. A 1 foot (305 mm) long cord with male connector is attached to the end of the handle for connection to the AC power supply (not included).
