The Mitutoyo digital QuantuMike utilizes a courser spindle thread which feeds the spindle by 2mm per revolution of the thimble instead of the standard 0.5mm. The coolant-proof micrometer»s ratchet thimble mechanism provides a constant measuring force on the spindle to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements.
A highly rigid frame and high-performance constant-force mechanism* enable more stable measurements, while the clicks emitted when the work piece is being measured assure the operator that measurement is proceeding normally
Carbide tips resists wear on the measuring faces for accurate measurements for an extended period of time
Built-in “Hold” function freezes the displayed value, enabling the micrometer to be removed from a workpiece for better viewing when the readout is not easily visible
Functions include Origin Set, Zero/ABS, Hold, Function Lock, Auto Power On/Off, and inch/mm conversion (on inch/metric models only)
