Description
- Students design and conduct a simple experiment to model how blood reacts and how blood spatter patterns change in response to variables.
- Student may choose to investigate the effects of angle, force, distance, surface texture, rate of movement, velocity at impact, number of blows, or location of the victim to test a theory.
- Students may choose to investigate the difference in spatter due to cast-off, blunt force trauma, or projectile trauma or to compare patterns due to impact spatter, passive spatter, transfer spatter, or projected spatter.
- Just like the detective analyzes and presents their results as evidence to support a case, the student presents their hypothesis, experimental design, variables, results and conclusion in a Power Point Presentation.
- Includes an instructor»s manual with reproducible student pages.
- May be used independently or as an introduction or companion to the analysis activities provided in Kemtec»s Blood Spatter Kit.
- Meets National Standards for Grade Levels 9 to 14.
