A high-performance, fully automated horizontal cartoning machine with a robotic arm is designed for cartoning of a wide range of products into a side-glued cardboard box or tray. The device reliably ensures the cartoning of a group of bags or boxes, it is also possible to pack individual packages. The cartoning machine is controlled by a freely programmable control system with a touch screen, the system allows the archiving of up to 100 programs. The machine can be supplemented with many optional accessories according to customer requirements. MACHINE OPERATION Bags or boxes are fed into the machine via a conveyor path. The machine is equipped with two storage pockets for creating groups, the pocket is filled according to the pre-set number of bags inserted into the box, when filled, a second pocket starts to be fill immediately. Thanks to this, the supply of bags is guaranteed without interruption. The pocket filled with bags is moved by means of a robotic arm over a box fixed on the conveyor, the pocket is placed in the box and bags are released. Filled box is released from the fixed position and a new box is brought to the dosing position. Filled box is transported via a conveyor for further manipulation (closing, glueing, marking, labelling, palletising).
