Large storage capacity, rugged construction, high strength aluminium body. Superior vacuum performance with insulation provides long holding times. Organised storage and transport for Cryo-EM specimen grids under cryogenic conditions.
The High Capacity (HC) Series Dewar Refrigerators by Worthington Industries (formerly Taylor-Wharton) are designed for storing large quantities of a variety of materials at or close to liquid nitrogen temperature.
The HC34 and HC35 models are convenient for storing frozen samples in a cryo-EM lab. They provide temperatures of -196ºC at the liquid surface and -190ºC at the canister top.
HC34 dewar features a wide 91mm diameter neck for better visibility and easier access and six 70mm wide canisters (with a possibility to add a seventh canister for extra storage capacity), all in a relatively compact form.
HC35 dewar features a wide 119mm diameter neck for better visibility and easier access and ten 67mm wide canisters (with a possibility to add a seventh canister for extra storage capacity), all in a relatively compact form.
