Description
The Foerster SIGMATEST 2.070 is a handheld portable eddy current testing device that measures the electrical conductivity of non-ferromagnetic material based on the complex impedance of the unit’s measuring probe.
The Foerster SIGMATEST 2.070 determines material properties both physical and technical. Normal uses include ensuring the quality of products being manufactured, testing combination materials, and sorting metal, alloys, and scrap. The maintenance of aircrafts, determining heat damage, and in-process controls during production and processing in the metallurgy industry also utilize the unit.
The Foerster SIGMATEST 2.070 has five different excitation frequencies and remarkably high measuring accuracy. The unit keeps a high level of accuracy even at a high frequency of 960kHz, which allows the measurements on very thin pieces with accuracy.
The device also automatically standardizes the measured value of the electrical conductivity to 20°C because of integrated temperature compensation. The quality of the measurements conforms to Boeing (BAC561) and Airbus standards.
The Foerster SIGMATEST 2.070 offers two operating modes: Touch or Continuous. The continuous mode can be used to scan surfaces and show the measurement result in a chart and the touch can be used to measure a single value. The recording function can be used to save all measurements.
