The LFB is a mobile, flexible and compact batch fluidized bed system with integrated air treatment (heater, fan and filter elements) as well as pneumatics, control and optional constructive explosion protection. The unit can be operated with exchangeable product bowls, air distribution plates, spray nozzles and additional modules. The LFB fluidized bed unit offers an effective solution for optimizing processes, defining process parameters or trying out new recipes. Under professional conditions, all fluidized bed processes that are otherwise only possible on a large scale can now be carried out and scaled up to production quantities. The economic production of smaller batches is also possible. Extended Functionalities The LFB fluid bed system is available in two versions: ‘Standard’ and ‘Maxi’. The two versions differ in the product bowl size — Standard with 5 l, 10 l and 20 l, Maxi with 10 l, 20 l and 30 l — and in the size of the filter housing. The air supply unit is identical and the process towers can be exchanged flexibly. Further flexibility is provided by a second air module that can be connected additionally. It enables different temperatures to be generated via two separate air flows and is used, for example, to optimise coating processes.
