The sleeve of the Firesleeve with Velcro Hook Loop Closure is made from knitted high bulk fiberglass and coated with high quality silicone rubber, allowing it to provide maximum protection for hoses, cables and wires against heat and flames. The Velcro closure, by itself, already has flame-retardant properties. It can resist a temperature up to 260°C/500°F and a molten splash reaching 1200°C/2200°F. In fact, it can also handle being exposed to molten elements such as glass, steel and aluminum, up to 1650°C/ 3000°F. The Firesleeve also proves to be resistant to fuels, lubricating oils, and hydraulic fluids.
