The Ethicon Endo Proximate Hemorrhoidal Stapler is designed for the procedure for prolapse & hemorrhoids (PPH)
The PPH set contains:
- 33 mm Hemorrhoidal Circular Stapler
- Suture Threader
- Circular Anal Dilator
- Purse String Suture Anoscope
- The close staple height can be adjusted in the ranges of 0.75 mm to 1.5 mm & 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm
- The PPH device provides 2 staggered rows of titanium staples (33 mm diameter) in the anal canal for transection & resection of internal tissue
- The quick close adjusting knob allows for the quick open & close of the instrument while controlling tissue compression
- The suture threader ports facilitate easy retrieval of suture through instrument housing
- PPH has a unique advantage over conventional techniques because the procedure is performed above the dentate line inside the anal canal, affecting fewer nerve endings
- This PPH set offers less post-operative pain, less requirement for analgesics, and less pain at the first bowel movement
