The digital pressure gauge and manometer DMU-JB represents a battery-operated handheld service and workshop instrument specially designed for versatile use in industry, power engineering, heating and combustion technology, air-conditioning, ventilation, laboratories, etc. The unit possess superior qualities over liquid column manometers (U-tubes). The DMU-D instrument measures pressure differences at corresponding pressure which is comparable with the nominal range. The instrument cannot measure pressure differences at high corresponding pressure, eg. on flow plates in gas pressure distribution systems. DMU-P instrument serves this purpose, it is used to measure pressure differences on the static pressure up to 100 times higher than the nominal differential pressure with max. 1MPa. If one of the pressure inputs is not connected, the instrument automatically measures relative overpressure or underpressure against the atmospheric pressure. The measured medium needs to be non-aggressive gas, eg. air, nitrogen, etc. The spark secure DMU gauges, version JB are marked I M1 Ex ia I Ma, intended for use in mines with methane.
