Contrel elettronica presents RI-R15. It is used in direct current isolated (IT) systems for permanent insulation monitoring of electric networks to earth. Monitoring of insulation resistance is done by measuring the possible difference of potential variation of two polarity on ground reference. Under-control network provides auxiliary supply. A frontal potentiometer is used for regulating the trip threshold. The frontal panel provides machine ON signaling. It also has three red LEDs for signalling the TRIP (tripping) and to show the polarity of the line under control with low insulation. To use the low insulation signalling in a remote panel, a changeover contact relay is available. The relay allows setting as a FAIL SAFE function. Also the front panel has push buttons for TEST and RESET. Activation of test can be done locally. While setting of the ’reset’ can be done either automatically or manually using local or outside push-button.
