Description

The Bruker G6 LEONARDO is a user-friendly and cost effective Inert Gas Fusion (IGF) analyzer. The G6 LEONARDO analyzes Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Hydrogen in metal materials to ensure there are no leaks or buildups.

THE PROBLEM

There are three non-metals, Oxygen (O), Nitrogen (N) and Hydrogen (H) that have the power to determine the quality, service life, and mechanical properties of metallic materials. The amount of these elements in materials can change throughout the process chain. Even in small amounts, these elements can have a very critical effect on metal material’s properties. But due to the atomic properties of O, N, and H low concentrations are difficult to analyze with typical spectroscopic methods.

WHERE THE G6 LEONARDO COMES IN

Analyzing these difficult to read properties can easily be done when using the Inert Gas Fusion Analysis (IGF) method. The IGF method provides better detection limits, reliability or stability. Not only does the G6 LEONARDO utilize the IGF method, it is also optimized with user-friendly features. The G6 LEONARDO is available to measure single (O, N, or H) or dual element (ON or OH).

FEATURES OF THE G6 LEONARDO

The G6 LEONARDO is equipped with preconfigured methods for applications such as OH or H in steel and titanium, O in copper, OH in magnetic materials and metal powders for additive manufacturing. These powders have a high particular surface and are controlled by factors like powder aging because of moisture and oxygen exposition. These factors also control the quality of raw materials and the yield of the process. Each G6 LEONARDO configuration addresses manufacturing needs for economic analyzers by choosing argon carrier gas.

The G6 LEONARDO features SampleCareTM for oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen analysis which achieves the highest accuracy while still keeping industrial applications affordable.

SampleCareTM consists of:

  • EZDriveTM, the field-tested electronic motion module for automatic and torque limited positioning of the crucible, operates without the need for compressed air. By using EZDrive, you can be assured of improved eletrical contact between the crucible and electrodes without the risk of damage
  • The sample port integrated into the water-cooled furnace protects delicate samples from undesirable heating and hydrogen losses for better hydrogen results
  • High capacity dust trap and in-line particle filtering system
