The all new 1938-R (P/N 7Z01705) Single Channel High Performance Optical Power and Energy Meter has significant number of improvements over 1936-R, one of the fastest optical meters available in the market. Up-to-date Android based OS and 7″ high brightness touch screen add great improvements on the user interface. With the high bandwidth electronics design and high speed digital processing, up to 10 kHz rate measurement rate, time stamped, is achieved currently, and potentially up to 100 kHz with a future firmware update. Multiple graphics, multiple color settings, and multiple language settings are available. Advanced functions such as scaling, analog filtering, averaging, triggering, and pass/fail criteria with warning audio are available. Fast analog output allows integration with an external data acquisition equipment or signal analysis with an oscilloscope. USB and RS-232 communication methods are supported currently, and Wi-fi and ethernet will be added in the future firmware upgrade, which can easily be done by the user. Extremely easy logging feature and its compatibility with the powerful PMManagerTM control software ensures obtaining the most comprehensive sets of measurements data.
